• ​Scrap seller must be at least 18 years of age and present a United States, government issued photo i.d. that includes their U.S. address, date of birth, height and weight.

• Scrapping a vehicle?  Please run through this simple check list-

  • Oklahoma State law now requires any vehicle being sold for scrap to be accompanied with a title or **"VEHICLE INFORMATION REQUEST" if the title is unavailable. 

  • "VEHICLE INFORMATION REQUEST"​, also known as a Form 769, can be obtained by the registered owner of a vehicle at your local tag agency.  This form but be completed by the state agency AND notarized prior to bringing in the vehicle to sell.

  • Gas tank must be punctured with all of the fuel drained.

  • Battery must be removed from vehicle.

• Catalytic converters must be accompanied by proof of ownership from the vehicle they were removed from.  Please call for questions regarding what will be accepted as "proof of ownership".  This item has too many variables to be quoted over the phone, please bring them in so we can provide you an accurate price for your converter.

• Air conditioning units, including window units, with copper/aluminum condensing/evaporator coils that have been previously removed, must be accompanied by a copy of a receipt showing that the unit was replaced or a letter from a licensed HVAC contractor stating the unit was no longer operable.

  • If you have a HVAC license, a copy of your license is required at the time of sale.

• All refrigerant including but not limited to chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's), and chlorofluorocarbons (HCFC's), be removed in accordance with the Clean Air Act prior to being sold to Al's Metals Recycling.

• We DO NOT accept the following:​

• RADIOACTIVE MATERIAL(Including NORM)

• ANY COPPER WIRE LARGER THAN 4 GAUGE UNLESS PROPER IDENTIFICATION IS PROVIDED

• BATTERIES UNLESS REMOVED FROM VEHICLE

• MANHOLE COVERS, TRAFFIC AND STREET SIGNS

• ELECTRIC LIGHT POLES INCLUDING THEIR FIXTURES AND HARDWARE

• HIGHWAY GUARD RAILS OR METAL BLEACHERS/STANDS

• FUNERAL OR HISTORICAL MARKERS

• RAILROAD SCRAP

• ANY METAL MARKED WITH GOVERNMENT LOGO

• BURNT COPPER WIRE

• METAL BEER KEGS

• NO STOLEN METALS

• PROPANE BOTTLES OR OTHER CLOSED OR PRESSURIZED BOTTLES
